Hehe, yes I know the feeling, I get very self -conscious about other people hearing me practice:oops: ,, be it singing , guitar, but the sax can be especially hard,, since they can be so freakin' loud :sax:, well ok, I got pretty loud singing voice when I start on Opera :mrcool:w00t: .... But look at it this way, you probably sound great, and I bet you'r neighbors r secretly jealous:D ... I'm starting a kind of V-blog on my progress with my sax playing, just for the hell of it ... and the day 1 video will be up in a bit, believe me,after hearing me, not even touching a sax in 25 years, and let alone never played sop.... you'll never feel impede again:thumb:
Aaah yeah, I've read alot about Yamaha instruments, As I understand it, the saxophones are especially good,, the sopranos are just sooo expensive.
I have some great suggestions if you looking for some more music theory ... Youtube is filled with free sax and theory lessions, tons of backing tracks too ... Understanding the Circle of Fifths and Why It's a Powerful Tool ... is a very good site too :) ...
Do you know Candy Duffler? She's and amazing alt. player .. very inspiring , very sexy sound :mrcool...

Mike

Yes they packed it well, never mind the coffee, never mind the pockets and zips. Just get the sax out. Mike put the mouthpiece and cards down, reed blow the reed. Oops you can't...

Soft cloth...

Chapstick, strap, you don't need a strap.

I want to see the sax!!!!!!

Yippee and thank goodness it was a one piece

Lovely, very pretty :)

Enjoy Mike, looking forward to hearing it.

I guess you were never a kid at Christmas. You know, just ripping the wrapping off whichever way you could to cut to the chase, ya know. Hell, a person could die of anxiety watching this and waiting for the actual debut of the horn.

Targa just wants to get inside the box, bless him
:)
It's amazing how all felines, regardless of their species or size, have a thing for boxes and cartons and will get in them. Makes you wonder about their evolution, doesn't it. Was the womb of all felines milenia ago shaped like a box? Must have been, because why else do they always do this?

Hope you enjoy your new sax,you will probably need a different mpc as the ones that come with the saxes are usually a heap of junk,a yam 4c is probably a good starting point or better still if cash isn't a problem you could go for a sop PPT available from the forum and not have to worry about mpc's for a long time or maybe never

Damn Mike, this is like watching a porno that is all foreplay and never goes anywhere. Hell, we're 5 minutes in and she's still fully clothed. What's this, the first date ever?

Yes thats true,, .. at The momoent I'm usig a Bari espirit ,, and it seems to be doing the job so far ... But I'll B going for something better soon though ... I'm going to see if I get my hands on a

Theo Wanne — GAIA2 Soprano Hard Rubber Saxophone Mouthpiece ...

from what I've heard others doing on it, it's VERY close to what sound I'm hoping to accomplish,, But its VERY expensive and I'll definitely b wanting to try before buy, there just not any places in Danmark that has one or a very big assortment, that I know of, that lets you try out MP's :)
A lot of people love the Selmer Super Session, with the J size being said to be the best although some like the H and I sizes. I have a Morgan Vintage sop but my sop is a Conn Chu from 29 so I need a large chamber open piece. The Super Sessions are under $200 especially used and the Morgan was on sale recently for a really great price. I think I paid $125 or so. Check them out if you still need a mpc. The Bari Esprit is nothing special...had one years ago because it was really cheap but it went in the drawer years ago.

You must remember this, a kiss is still a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh, the fundamental things apply...
