Saxophones MARTIN Comm-III finish ?

I try to do chemical work outside.
Why ? The warning labels on acetone say “use in a well ventilated area” Spoiler alert, your wife’s nail polish remover is acetone with a scented masking agent. Anyone ever had the misses do polish remover in the shed ?
and perhaps only the smallest have none.
19mm to 15mm pads rivets are optional / questionable. Depends on pad thickness and composition. Below 15mm there’s no need. The function of a center rivet is to prevent the leather from sagging.

OK, you can estimate how high the river rose by the corrosion on sax. I reduced the size of the photo files out of respect for server space, but can't seem to upload as a batch. I select several but only two load. I keep deleting them before uploading

That's probably enough to show the condition. Uploading was confusing.

Taking it in to see doctor Tues. or Weds to potentially get done right. This is the '59 Committee III.

The foul-smelling Indiana (Midwestern joke...name it Gary, after the former steel industry in Gary, Indiana?) I will take keys off and clean at home, then monkey with cleaning the pads. & see what happens. I don't need another Indiana, or any alto for that matter, but the Committee III has the potential to be my 'best' alto, so it'll get elevated up the food chain.

Took photos. Easier to update from PC. Will transfer then upload.

I was hasty in declaring resonators to be non-existent or rivet-only...a mix, and perhaps only the smallest have none.
I think it was just the Magna saxes that had resonators/reflectors back in 1959. My -59 Magna had the original pads and tone boosters/resonators when I bought it in 1983. I like flat brass resonators on Martin saxes. Martin saxes have low key-heights and it's easier to kept the tone boosters/resonators/reflectors dry and clean if they are flat. I use a pad swab to clean and dry the pads to avoid or have less corrosion. Plastic is also working but no fun to put plastic resonators on a Martin.

Honestly my studies of Martin made horns from 1915 to the sell to Yanagiswa have shown no information of pad information or technology. If you have knowledge that the 1959 Magna had the first boosters of any Martin it would be a great discovery !
Indianas pre & post RMC @ 1962 still had rivets.

Same as my 1952 Committee 3 alto saved from a bin. Original condition ? Maybe? The pads have the look of original condition to finish. But 74 years on ???
