"Love strings for Assia" is a piece I play for my daughter Assia. I play it in august 2003, just after she was born in July of the same year. I've get in my sound all my feelings. All the love, all the joy, all my feelings about God, life, my own life... and Assia.
It's very minimalist, just a strings sample of "A Love Supreme" by Alice Coltrane, in the background, and sax playing. Recorded in the night in my cabin : ))
"Safari Quest" (2005) is for me like a trip with human animality used like an energy for a superior spiritual fight. Sax is played with fury, I've got images in my mind of volcanic eruption and apocalypse, when light pierce the shadows of my mind. Of course I'm not a pro saxist, but it's really my feelings : ))
The other track "Afrolatin sax" is played with WX5 Yamaha wind controler, at a period I haven't anyware to practice and record my tenor.
Good listening. I'm very open to your comments so don't hesitate. It'allow me to progress : )))
