I still don't like the BG Flex since they are tapered in a strange way (maybe to fit some french mouthpiece from Vandoren/Selmer which are usually more conical than the american taper of Meyer/Links.. etc etc).

That's odd as the very first PPT mouthpieces were based very much externally on a Vandoren or RPC tenor. When I showed an early PPT to Jean Paul of Vandoren, he thought at first it was a copy of the Java until he saw the inside. Mind you, he said the same about RPC.
