Letting off steam...

Was it necessary to specify on the front?
Do you need the reassurance in case they see the rear view first?
No it wasn't necessary to specify, you're absolutely right and I stand corrected. Now what are you going to do about those Café members who insist that "of" is a verb?!

Nothing, in case they think 'off' is one as well.

OK update time...

I'm moving more to @aldevis's suggestion and maybe finding a pro...

I am it must be said, rather hacked off. :(

OK had some time to do more internet trawling... I have found someone who is not too far away - well over the border in Wales, but th eborder is 1 mile away, he's about 15 miles away.

I am wondering about @aldevis's influence, since he seems to be of Italian provenance... I am scheduled to see him next week...

Let's hope that this is more successful. Maybe the coffee will be good?

I live one mile from the border. Skirmishes are fortunately rare.

I think that many people use t-shirts with funny quotes to distinguish back and front.
That is why originally football players were given numbers.
This is similar to the reason cowboys have their names on their belt buckles.

I don't know, I go to work followed by an orchestra rehearsal and there's an outbreak of chaos, shenanigans and general misbehaviour... One needs to be suitably attired to blend in with the locals when crossing the border...
