John O'Neill's Jazz Method Book (Tenor)

I'm currently up to page 36 in this book, and it's definately getting harder. I'm taking a break from it for the moment whilst learning some Disney classics, all work and no play, and all that 😉

"I'm the King of the jungle"
or is it more Snow White , Enchanted mountain (I think that's right)

Hi Emma

I'm certain you've chosen the best book to get to grips with the tenor Sax, and if you're on page 36 having started in Feb 08 you're making good progress. I'm coming up close on 2 years as a beginner and I havn't finished the book yet, although I am using other resoures too.

You may find that by page 42 you'll be stuck there for a while in that part of the book as the tunes get faster and more difficult, but a lot depends on whether you could already read music before taking up the tenor.

Good luck, and thahnks for joing in with this topic

cheers

Mark
