Hi. Im from czech republic so sorry,my english isnt good. I want know the name of saxophonist who plays solo in jake in the fat man intro. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qy4qi7GQhD0 i like this style of sax playing but i just somewhere and sometimes hear something, but i dont know who plays. Similar in the Simpson in volume with the jazzman (bleeding gum?). So i want to know who plays this style,or what kind of style is this,or is it just some film music,or... Hi Mira,
It's LA (Los Angeles) studio/session musican Dan Higgins. He has his own website and there is profile about him on www.lastudiomusicans.net, also try Skip Spratt's website, saxshed.com. Just 'google' 'Dan Higgins' and you will some additional info, also plays on dozen of film and TV sound tracks. The film 'Catch Me If You Can' is a great example of Dan's playing. Excellent sax and multi wind player.
