Vintage Holton Collegiate Model 503 Cornet in good playing condition with no dents or mechanical issues and only cosmetic wear. All the tubes are straight and true. It was serviced, adjusted and lubricated when I bought it. The fact is that I bought it on a whim thinking that I'd be able to learn to play it but I only worked at that sporadically before setting it aside because the embouchure was too difficult for me to make the transition to from sax. So I lubricated it and put it in its case and it's been there since then. I only took it out of the case just now to to photograph it to sell it.

As you can see it has had use over its 70 years of life (all before I got it) but a good deal of its original finish is intact and there are no dents or marks of that type that are of any significance other than cosmetic. The key valves, spit valves, and tuning slides all function perfectly and smoothly and for someone who can play or wants to learn this is a fine Cornet. It just needs more diligence to learn to play than I could muster.

When I bought it it came in old wooden case which was junk so I trashed it and bought this new Ravel Band Co. Cornet Case which is still Like New.
It also came with the original Holton mouthpiece, still in excellent condition.
However, I ought 2 others, 1 new and one secondhand:
1 - Gewa 7C bought new, used very little, comes in original box
1 - Montreux Sonata 4B, Silver-Plated Mouthpiece, purchased secondhand.

Also included in the sale are two small bottles of Valve Slide Oil and Key Oil, the shoulder strap for the case, and a Bach Brand Mute, all barely used.
