Help choosing a sax please

Well it's here and it's absolutely stunning!

Feels good eh? Enjoy.

Have you apologised to the neighbours in advance?

And what are you trying to insinuate  :w00t:

I'm working from home today, coincidentally of course... so I've only managed a few quick blows (well you have to don't you!). Scared the dogs though

Now what about that new user name?

cheers

Ian

Yeah, me too (well I do most days actually) but I seem to be getting as much done today as I suspect you are... 😉

As for the username if you're really creative you could come up with something as original as my one. It didn't take me too long to think it up. In fact my mum and dad thought it up a long time ago, before we even needed usernames. Well ahead of their time don't you think?

Hi Ian,

Your sax looks lovely.

Out of curiosity, which mouthpiece did you go for in the end?

All the best,

Chris

Ah yes, mouthpiece!

Unfortunately at this time Alastair has some supply problems so I have four of his own!! A Yamaha 4C which is easy to blow, a Vandoren A25 (which is a little more difficult to use), an Ottolink metal one and another (not sure on the make). I've only tried the first two.

Once I decide on something Alastair will order it for me. I think I may get a Yamaha myself anyway as they are so cheap. We'll have to see.

Bottom lip's a bit sore!

Oh and I've booked my first lesson with Terry Lightfoot who lives not far from me. Was listening to some of his stuff at home not long ago. Small world!

cheers

Ian

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
