oh and my video camera broke :erm: so just sound

Hi Mick, palying for just 7 months, that's pretty good.

Feedback? Practicing long tones, if you don't already do them, will help intonation and holding the notes.

But overall, for a relatively short time playing, that's good. Keep at it.

Born May '63, eh? Same as me!

Phil

Thanks phil I think my reed needs changing also ive been using that one solid for about 2 months now and i noticed a bit of a chip.
Ive noticed an improvement since i last recorded myself. ive also taken about a month away from it also which is where i think im not holding the tone so long .

🙂 🙂

thanks smiffy. I love playing Sax and have been on the look out for a tenor as I prefer the sound. people will argue but i think its more a jazz sound but then it all depends what you want.

i have just won an Hanson tenor off ebay for ?103 which i collect next week but gonna get that serviced before i start with that also . 🙂 🙂 the alto is only a cheap chinese locto make.

I think I saw that Hanson, it's a good price and still will be with a service added

7 months is no time, after 14 months I'm very much a beginner and very inconsistent in my playing, some days it's good other days really bad

its funny you say that cos im same some days good some bad i think it all depends on what mood im in and who else is in the house at the same time if its the kids they just start moaning and it puts a downer on a good session. I also find i can play a tune no probs till it comes to recording and then i over concentrate cos im recording and can never get it right lol

im gonna keep recording myself playing over the next 6 months on a monthly basis and see how I improve

youre doing good tho with your playing its a gamble still with somedays i play them high notes sweet somedays forget it llol
