Saxophones GAS... What am I going to do with this one?

I think it's a (A) "3" or a "4" made by Yanigisawa? A3 have the same type of bell- boddy brace. No high F# on A3. The model before "5". Yanigisawa began to sell thier saxes under thier own name around 1977. But there was still saxes to be sold in the shops with stencil names. The serial number says that it's a sax made in 1977? Some years later Yanigisawa introduced the T and A 500 model so maybe the wanted to clear out thier work benches and to get rid of old inventories ?
Not on the stencil ones.
The Corton Deluxe stencil (1975) by Yanagisawa that were sold in Sweden had a model number on the body. A "5" to the left.

Alto in its new old case, with its cousin above...

20220626_174137.jpg

Just played the alto for the first time (Covid has gone now). Lovely sound, not as bright as I recall my A901 was. Great flexibility too. Chops need exercise after nearly six weeks (Covid came from 2 weeks holiday) but had no trouble after I'd spent an hour of light adjustments. Eb pad was suspect but cleaned up OK for now. Nice to be playing instead of fiddling around with my new pad system. :thumb:
