front room recordings

our singers hubby is a bit of a recording boffin, and kindly recorded the new band in his front room. don't know what gear he uses, it seems to be a pc base thing..here are a few we did.. "reet petite wasn't done by him..

mikec thanks but the trick to having a good sound is not to make people do what they are not comfortable with, either in abillity terms or taste in music.. for instance our guitarist is a fantastic blues player, but is a little tentitive when it comes to jazz, i know he can play the stuff but hes unsure, he has a great ear. so what i don't do is give hime the music and say play that, what i do is expell all the really jazzy chords like on the mood for love tune, give the jazzy notes to the guys who know them, after a few weeks hes playing the jazzy chords without even knowing it..
thats a good muso in my opinion..
same with the singer.. all singers want to feel comforable regardless of weather it sounds good or not..you play in the key they want for a week or two then change to the key that sounds good, by that time they know the song insideout and the change dosn't sound alien to them..
i hear and have played in so many bands that the singer call the key and is usually the least qualified to do so..
singers are by nature lazy
