Just having fun. In America a stupid person is called a "block head". However "built like a brick **** house" is a very flattering comment about a woman's figure.

There are of course men (and women) who are attracted to women of such substantial build that they might merit metaphorical comparison with a masonry privy, however I don't believe the phrase in question would ever be used approvingly, even among men in private, in the UK.

As though you're playing in time to a boilermaker's mallet

I've given this a lot of thought and I've decided to make "playing in time to a boilermaker's mallet" a central element of my individual musical personality. It's part of my heritage really, my grandfather was a shipyard riveter, stone deaf, immensely strong, but tiny, as I remember him he was about four foot tall but he was built like a brick doll's s%%thouse. I've recently formed a little band, but I can tell them now they're not wanted, I will be able to do it all with the "piano", "bass" and "drums" on iRealPro.

This is going to be so cool!

Just like calling someone a "brick" would never be used in the U.S. 😉 By the way women of "substantial build" over here are said to be built like a battleship or perhaps a tank.
