Necks are pretty tough.

It's the rest of thre instrument which is more prone to knocking out of adjustment and getting damaged.

.........and I`d put the IMO unnecessary pouches away safe for if you sell and keep the necks in the slots in the case like with other horns .. as Kev says, up to you.

I put all the other bits in a pouch.......spare reeds, cork grease, etc. Stops them rattling around

I used to store my neck in an old gym sock. Be grateful you have a pouch.

CB are very generous with their extra bits - I still have the beautifully monogrammed duster that came with my Raven tenor. Their mouthpieces are very good quality too. Do they still come with two necks?

Okay, so now that I have the Cannonball it comes with these pouches (velvet maybe?) to hold the two necks and the mouthpiece. Now I don't know if I store the necks, and mouthpiece, in the spot designated for them while in the pouch, or do I leave them out of the pouch. Because when I tried the Yamaha the neck came in a plastic bag which you would have just thrown away. Help!

Hi Luke, congrats on your new sax!

Those neck bags are made of a very breathable material so they won't trap moisture. Some people are meticulous and like to store their necks in the bags, and some don't - it's really up to you. The two neck storage compartments in the case (FAT Neck on the right, traditional neck on the left) will hold your necks securely so you won't need to worry about them jumbling around.
Long story short: it's up to you 🙂
