Mouthpieces Can a mediocre horn be made into a better horn? 🤔

To buy a better sax or turn your mediocre Arbiter to a better player. That's not a big problem. When that is done the search for mouthpieces, reeds, straps ... starts????

Accept your mediocre sax and start to play. Try to play like "Getz" ..... .

I'm over 70 and I have found a way to thrives with the saxophone. I'm still a mediocre Rock & Roll Saxophone player with a long relationship with Rock & Rolll Saxophone and junk saxes. The Yani T-880 was the best sax I have owned. But it wasn't a sax för me.

Naw, Stephen does nothing of the sort. I spent a long time reading his reviews throughout the years, and I picked up on his utter disdain of the screw type. He's mentioned it... once or twice. The Selmer self adjusting action mechanism comes in at a distant second place. 😆

Thanks for your honesty and friendship. looks like I need to go study some of Stephen’s reviews more. One things for sure, there’s always something to learn about saxophones.
