Have you heard the version of Patricia on Lauries Choice - a budget CD ? Very intense but with an almost funky contrast later on. Most online previews seem to get it wrong and feature the version you have above when they list "Lauries Choice" so I am not sure that it can be previewed online.

This track is from the great film "American splendor", this is not only a very touching, honest and bittersweet film, but it also has a fantastic jazz soundtrack (Harvey Pekar, the main protagonist was a huge jazz collector), anyway, hopefully enjoy this track and the film also if you have not seen it.
