Back on trax with me sax :laugh:

Woo hoo! 🙂 Yee ha!😛 And Hooray! Got the go ahead from the doc to play again today as the shoulder is healing well and I'm making good progress, so I got home after my physio session this afternoon and let rip (on the sax that is :whistle: ) The only trouble I had, after twelve days abstinence, was which to play first, the alto or the tenor? Decisions, decisions! Well I plumped for the tenor and boy was it a good choice! Although I haven't played at all, I did notice a slight burn in the embouchure, but it didn't bother me at all. Oh boy I'm glad to be back playing again! Yeah I know its only been a week and a bit, but it felt like years! Oh well, back to the joys of LOOOOONG tones! :laugh:

Glad to hear that your shoulder is on the mend. Let's just hope that your sound begins to improve at a similar pace!

I'm having me hernia sorted next year, and am told not even allowed to drive for six weeks! So no sax either probably 😡
Oh well, there's always the keyboard.

Oh Pete i ment to say i have just moved to a little village nr Peterborough called Castor and come across a sax teacher [he lives in the village ] well he sounds like a head master no nonsense type of guy [just what i need i thought] well i have booked a 6 week starter course with him on 1st Nov
and i cant wait maybe this is what i need???? i will keep you posted.

I developed a hernia about the same time I started playing the sax - the doc reckoned it was probably related! Didn't put me off though - although there are those who regret that........

When are you back playing with the band Pete? I see they're playing The Wheatsheaf tonight.

I can only manage a "gentle" half hour at the moment Bill, so the boys will have to struggle on without me for a bit longer.
