Any views re: Lee Goodall?

Hi there!

Lee Goodall is appearing in Swansea Jazzland tonight with the local house trio, and I wondered whether he is worth a visit/listen. If you can give me some feedback I would be very grateful. I know little about Lee so need some help to decide whether to go or not.

He's a great player. He used to play in Bristol with a keyboard player called Dave Buckston (Andy Sheppard's original keyboard player).

I think he paid his dues in New York where he used to gig with Marcus Millar and the like. He's a great saxophonist and also play the flute beautifully. I remember him to be very approachable i.e. he is part of the minority in this nation that will not stab you if you try to talk to him

I wish I had gone to see him now. I'll try and give advanced warning next time! At least I listened to 'Visible World' by Garbarek to fill the void.

I've just discovered that Lee Goodall was my sax teachers sax teacher at college doing his Jazz degree. I should have gone, but at least I am benefitting indirectly from the great man.
