A gamble at that price. Assume repairs and full overhaul whatever it says. But you might be lucky and it works fine and is a lovely horn, I haven't actually tried one.

Rolled tone holes imply a possibly well made horn, but also more trouble for repairing if they are out of whack.

As it's a stencil horn (made by established manufacturer but branded for a retail store or distributor), the resale value is never as good as for the horns branded by the manufacturer as stencils are usually inferior and cheaper. Also as this is probably made in eastern europe, it doesn't have the possible value attached to a stencil of French or US manufacturer.

You might love it or hate it...

I read on Sax on the Web that Dearmans made before 1960 were made in england. only after then were thay made in czechosovakia

Another thought:

Whenever it says "new pads corks" etc, you assume it has been done by a professional repairer. Very often its been done by the person who bought it off ebay a year ago, received a dodgy horn and attempted to overhaul it themselves. It might be OK, it might blow, but probably it's an amateur bodge that works a bit and when you get a professional repairer to look at it they will most likely want to start from scratch.

I know this because I do it myself (but I would always own up to it in the auction page).

I have e-mailed the guy and he seems pretty genuine, but at the end of the day I guess ebay is always a gamble
