Beginner who can it be now

Hi members
it just me again asking for help
I am trying to play the "men at work" sax riff for "who can it be now "
I would like to know the best way of fingering this high E

so we`re playing C# G# A E bak to A G#
am I better to use the side E keys or the alternate (GA high f key) to get the E.

Hi, play whichever you feel most comfortable using. Try both and see which feels/sounds more secure. Sorry to be vague but I really believe whatever works for you is best. If it were me I'd probably play the alternate fingering

Edit. I've just gone and played this and despite my initial thoughts I actually preferred the palm keys.

I would use both if there is any difference to add some variation to the song.

Palm keys would be first choice for me. I have big hands with fat fingers and stay away from front F combinations unless I have to for awkward passages or trills. It must be 30 years since I jumped round the living room with this one on the turntable lol

I think using side and palm will help you keep time too but there's no hard and fast rules. Do what's easiest.

The "front" high E is best used when going to or from a C or C#. In all other fingering combinations the regular high E fingering is a better choice.
