hey whatever, what is it you're wanting to learn about altissimo? do you use rascher's book top tones?

spike - can you get it from Dorn? they don't make it obvious on their site as one of the sax books they sell ?! email em i guess

in terms of 'how to get altissimo' and preparation exercises to get your mouth in the right shape, the two books mentioned do it.

the only gap in the market i see is a book/audio product where you can actually hear the altissimo played, so it gives you something to target...

indeed I just want a more complete collection of literatures and also when reading through different ideas and feel good when some new ideas appears (both from the reading and from internal thoinking)

sorry i guess i should have pointed out - i work for jazzwise (hence my name / email address), we don't have any books by don sinta; if Dorn has it then maybe we could, but seriously, rascher / luckey covers it (for me).

I bought a copy of the Ted Nash book while on the road in Munich in the 70's, I never did any of the exercises, I just used to pick out a note/grip I needed to learn and used it for days and weeks until it was a natural part of my playing, and then moved on to the next one. gruss - spike
