Playing the saxophone The Cafe Trio grown to Octet down to Sextet

I had misgivings about today's meet as I lost my voice in the week and now have a cough. Despite a few days rest from playing, the work I had done to build my embouchure in the days up to list voice paid off.

There were 5 of us today and we have enough material to play the care home gig next week 🙂

We are still playing monthly but currently only 4 of us on a regular basis.

If any one who can get to Heald Green (nearest city Manchester) on a regular basis wants to join us send me a DM and I'll tell you more!

We currently have one each of bari @Vetinari tenor @chadders alto and sop (me).

Some play more than one size. When they can @trimmy and another sop player join us.

We are a very relaxed group and play to have fun but we do try and improve ourselves and indeed have over the years. 🙂

We play a variety of music and are open to suggestions.

So if you are looking to play in a group do get in touch.

I was one of the founding members, but now live too far away to attend. The group has always had a wide geographical spread - I was nearly 50 miles away at the time in Shropshire, others were/are in North Wales, Liverpool etc. Heald Green (near Manchester Airport) was equally inconvenient for most of us!

I'd strongly recommend it to any member who can get there.
