tenor tutor book?

I've now got to the end of Step One Play tenor sax by Sue Terry. Any suggestions where I go from here?

I'm also attempting Take the Lead Rock and Roll :laugh:
which is fun but I really need some proper progressive exercises.

Any ideas on a suitable tutor book will be gratefully received!

Hi Pauline. If you want to have some fun try "Play It Cool" by James Rae. It comes with a nice CD to play along with. Scored for alto & tenor.

As for tutor books. In his book Larry Teal recommends "Saxophone Method for Beginning Students" by Rousseau, and "Elementary Method for Saxophone" by Hovey. Check out books like that.

I see that you like the 1920/1930s. I play in a dance band that plays music from that era. I love it.
