Technical Advice Request.

Having noticed Pete's addition of a Video option I have just spent considerable time looking at the various items down there.
I'm one of those difficult people who has no wish to enter the heights of Altered scales, being a simpleton and believing if it sounds good, it is good.
Was amazed by Pete's instrumental artistry, especially as it seems that both 'Old Time Blues' and 'Uncle Phunk' are all Pete, presumably using keyboard input for the backing.
What I need is to know where I can receive practical training in eyebrow control and facial emotion?

For facial emotion try taking a leaf out of Peter O'(Snap-off)Tooles "Lost in the Desert...again"

It should happen to me. Being lost in the desert with a beautiful woman and enough food and water to last, while the rest of the world mounts a rescue operation.

Somehow, in my experience, it's always the other guy that gets the breaks. I live in hope. 🙂

sax players could learn a lot from rock guitarists when it comes to facial expressions and eyebrow action! Then again having a sax mouthpiece stuck in your gob does limit things a bit!

I will offer an explanation. Those of you not already asleep will know that nearly half a century ago, I used to play slide trombone in a trad band. Shouting ritualistically "Oh play that thing" and chanting numerous verses of "Mama don't allow" palls, continuous audience shouts of "Saints" and "Onions" does contribute to disillusionment but the camel's back finally broke when instructed to play "Trombone Charlie" as my speciality.
It was then I discovered the "Cool School" who just stood there and played. No foot tapping, nothing but terse introductions, theme statement, improvisation and re-statement of theme. Then MJQ, introduced morning dress and I still wear a tail coat when playing saxophone, as should any lady or gentleman. (Please note Mr. Thomas. You are well aware Mr. Domino was always immaculately dressed.)
Definitive instructions preferred, e.g. l-lV-l-V-lV-l, raise left eyebrow on the first three beats, rest both for ___ beats, syncopated alternative eyebrow raising during the lV section, ear waggle for the l and nostril twitching during the V-lV-l for the blues.
Please help this emotionally restricted saxophonist to apparent emotionalism.
