Mouthpieces Soprano mpcs

try also the "rico metalite"
i used to have one and it had great projection and tone and they are not so expensive either! a very under rated moupiece for sure.

So impressed by all the enthusiasm for the 'Bari' I laid out the huge sum of £14.44 and
it arrived today. I'm quite knocked out. What a bargain - nice tone easy to play and,
as much as I allow it, to play in tune.

Thanks folks!

Now I was convinced by all the enthusiasm for the PPT, I look the opportunity to order a B stock (cosmetic damage) and it too arrived today. I've only had a very quick noodle but I can see why all the positivity. Don't tell himself it was more than £14 though 🙂

Oh, and as a PS given the cross posting with Tom. The 'other mouthpiece' was a £14 Bari Esprit. It is indeed, in my humble opinion, miles better than Yamaha, Selmer S80, Otto Link, all of which I've owned for sop. It is incredible value for money. Just not as good, ultimately, as the PPT. But if you're short on cash, buy the Bari.

Good bit of sharing experience here - I've seen the Bari Esprit advertised on-line, but no mention of different tip openings / facings. Do you know if they just come with the one bog standard or are there different options available?

It seems like my current mouthpiece is a bit better than my last mouthpiece. I feel like I'm inching towards an epiphany. Rico graftonite ok but...Yam 4c better but..., not as good as the matalite. Currently on a delacore metal chinese. Which is better but...

I've ordered the Bari. I tried one on tenor but didn't like it. Nothing wrong, easy to play and all that but ...didn't like it.

If the Bari turns out to be the sop piece for me I'm gunna kick myself lol

It came today. First impressions are very good. I was pleasantly surprised with what came. For the princely sum of £14.22 it's a full set mp, lig and cap. I stuck a new reed on it after a little faffing with the new lig. It'll be easier next time as the lig will have seated to the mp.

Very easy to blow, plays loud and soft. Good intonation throughout and a very acceptable tone that should improve as the reed matures and my chops get more used to it.

I'm still struggling higher than palm Eb but I think that's more about me than the mp.

I put the delacore metal back on to compare and it felt stuffy in comparison and harder to get a good tone.

Well pleased.😀
