Hi All,

I've been dropping into this forum for a while now & I thought it was about time I registered, so here I am...:)

I'm in my late 50's & enjoying life...;} I've been dabbling with the sax for about 10 years now. I'm a self taught player & reader of the funny shaped music notes. By no means do I consider myself proficient, but I enjoy for my own pleasure the feel & the sound of the horn.

Over the years I've had various makes of horns, from modern to vintage ones. At present I own a couple of tenors; a Martin "The Martin" made in the 1950's & a Buescher Aristocrat Series 1 made in the 1930's. I love them both dearly but I tend to favour the Martin.

Anyway that's enough from me, except a few last words to you all.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year...:thankyou:

Hello and welcome, you'll have to excuse Old Git, he always has wind.
I hope you enjoy the cafe and a merry Christmas to you too.

Hi and welcome from a BIG fan of Martin saxes (although Alto in my case)

Phil

Hello and welcome to the CS -

I too love my Martin (but it's a bari) - Happiest of Holidays to you :)

Welcome from the now unfrozen South, although still plenty of snow to melt away.

Hello and welcome from another Midlander, not too far to meet up if you ever fancy it.
Welcome to the forum

Hi and welcome from west wales. It amazes me just how many people on here have taken up the sax mid life (me included), it's really good to see and, an a real encouragement to others.

Not knowing much about saxes, is the Martin the same as Bob Martin ;-)

welcome!
regards
woody (who is desparetly hoping the snow arrives here soon....)

Thanks Woody,

Better than Bob Martin's, as they tend to growl when you want them to!...:)))

Hi Screamin wind, welcome to the forum, no snow around here in New Zealand, nor waiting for it!
