If you are a well-seasoned musician, you are probably aware that somewhere north of 85% of working musicians (pro and semi-pro) use Apple computing products for music based tasks

This hit home for me in class recently, where 6 out of 7 students used Apple (and so could use the Apple-only app the teacher had recommended). Of course I use Android 😉.

I use MobileSheets Pro on android.
It does a lot for little money, for me anyway.
tip; iReal does allow export of the sound track to an audio file. That can be imported into MSP in which you can build playlists etc. Maybe less faffing?

Thanks mizmar, I refuse to buy back into Apple products and will never use them again as long as I live! 😱

We have: iPod Mini, iPod, Mac Book, iPad and an iPhone. All are useless, the software doesn't work anymore, screen failures and battery failures, the files are unsalvageable and not portable to anything else. Apple have consistently responded with, "We don't support that anymore, you'll have to buy our new products" ... at three times the price of other formats. I have iPlayer on an old Windows 8 PC where I refused to upgrade the player. It still works but I can't use the Apple files anywhere else. I have Cubase, Cakewalk (now BandLab), Noteworthy Composer, Audacity and all sorts of things on the Windows 8 PC that still work with modern products on my Windows 11 Laptop and the files are portable across formats. I'm not a fully paid up dinosaur at 67 years of age ... I record remotely on Scarlet Solo and PC, send the stuff across the eithernet and get the job done. I tried Sibelius when it was £400. I see that is now more affordable but not the £35 I paid for Noteworthy! I haven't tried Crescendo Music Notation Software yet. Let's see where we end up wakyct ... ... my guess is "we'll get the job done" while your classmates are choking on their Apples. 🙂
