Recipes Septet Banoffee Pie

[Jeanette]

Base for 7.5" flan dish
9oz crushed ginger or digestive biscuits
4oz melted Butter
Mix butter and biscuits press into flan dish and leave to set in fridge

Toffee Mix
397g can of condensed milk
6oz butter
6oz sugar

Melt sugar and butter gently on the hob in a saucepan
Add condensed milk
Bring to simmer and low boil for 5 mins whilst stirring, it should turn a light golden yellow

Let it cool a little and pour in to flan dish

Topping
Slice sufficient banana to cover top of mixture
Whisk 1/2 pint of double cream and smooth of bananas
Sprinkle with grated chocolate
