Love that clock! Here's one that Pete prepared earlier: The Cycle of 4ths in Jazz

What this adds compared to most that you see arrows for ascending & descending. When I first came across circle of fourths/fifths I spent a long time puzzling over it until I realised that going anti-clockwise still meant ascending if you wanted fourths. To me it seemed that going anti-clockwise meant descending instead of ascending.

Discovered today that I can play St Thomas by ear. Went to check the changes afterwards and realised that the tonic tones tick their way around 5 steps of the cycle - so cool! F#- B7 E- A7 D. Time to try it in another key now

I am learning my scales by improving over backing track tunes that will be in my repertoire for sax (I already know my scales in my mind) I find what is most challenging is runs around the octave key so I added a tune "sweet love "in Bb to make me work that aera ...is that always the hardest aera on the sax or is there another that I need to look at.

Palm keys and the lowest notes are the hardest, especially the LH little finger.

You can play play scale 3,4 or 5 note fragments across the break to help you, if you are having problems.

OK that is what the break is the 8v key

Also what is helping is to tune my lip on the high keys
