Hi,
I got a theory book recently and started reading it the other day. It's really basic and is helping me enourmously in getting to grips with scales, semitones, tones, intervals etc, etc. I was really struggling to understand all this before as I've never tried to decipher music until I started playing sax a few months back.
I'd recommend this for anyone in a similar position:
First Steps in Music Theory, Grades 1-5
Author: Eric Taylor
ABRSM Publishing Ltd (The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music)
ISBN: 1-86096-090-1
