Pimp my Sax

You're absoloutely right Wayne. The pics will help and regards the C -or any of the keys for that matter - can/will be positioned to where they are the easiest and most comfortable for you to play.

I will knock up a mock/model to see if it will work.

perhaps you can pop over once its done/when you get a chance.

Regards
Griff

Sorry for the delay.....camera problems. Anyway, here are the pics which'll give you some idea of my dilema.

Hello again

It's been a while......(been PC-less which was a liberating experience!!!). Anyway, as requested I now have my modded sax with a couple of pics to boot.

The mods were made by Gary Mills of Wessex Woodwind, www.wessexwoodwind.co.uk, in Dorset. As you can see, the F key was moved around the back and we had to adjust and readjust the thumb hook until I found a more suitable position. Paddle keys (?) with rollers were added to the E & D keys.

It's taken some practice to get used to playing like this but I have to say its fantastic! I can now stand and play like any normal 10 digit person. Woohoo!

If you have any questions please let me know as I should be about a bit more this year.

Wayne
