Sometimes, Getz comes through, particularly in the softer higher section. Sound and delivery. And the upwards gliss…

I sat within 10 feet of Norah when she came on Weekend Wogan. I can’t claim to have played with her - it was very early days of the show and some artists were wary of an unknown house band. Anyway. I sat 10 feet away. 😆

Try the album What The World Needs Now - Bacharach tunes with strings / orch. Delivery of the tune is a treat.

I loved your recording and your string arrangement.

I think it's illegal not to listen to Getz. But I need to check on that.

Yeah it probably is, but…. Always just reach for someone else. Same for a lot of the west coast guys, Mulligan, Desmond et al; I tend to just listen to other stuff. Art Pepper possibly the exception.
