Sorry, they will only be available in purple.

The good news is they are extremely close to production. Internally it is all complete so the one I am using for the soundclips is what you will get as g=far as the sound capabilties are concerned. We decided to make it slightly thinner overall. Not as thin as metal piece, but just a bit thinner, so that a standard clarinet ligature will fit.

Pete has kindly sold me the passaround prototype Hooligan 11 tenor

I am still in shock. I was pretty happy with my sound on my 10Mfan Boss 8* but I was curious to see what a 11 tip would be like so I added my name at the end of the list.

I was impressed when I got it and now that its mine, I took off the big black beak mattress it was shipped with and put on a .4mm clear BG strip and added two thin wood strips to the inside of the old 2 screw I was using.

This is for me the most incredible mpce I have ever played. The more I get comfortable with it the wider the palette gets. I am currently using a Signature 3 reed and have no trouble getting pp to fff except on the bell notes which are still a bit subtoney at low volumes. Will try the 2 1/2 again soon but first time it wasn't as nice on altissimo. I don't generally play quietly except at home so not really an issue.

On the Boss I had to be conscious of the middle B-C# notes as without changes in embouchure they could sound a bit ........hmmm.....honkey isn't quite right but something like that.....other way around on the Hooligan. It is definitely tonally the most balanced piece I have ever used. From Bell to as the sound is balanced and rich and full or raspy and badass depending.

For those who might be interested I spent some serious time with the 2 1/2 Signature today. Try as I might I cant quite get the lovely tone (LOL at least IMO) I get on the 3. I played around with various amounts of lower lip but there is a slight honkiness to the 2 1/2 that isn't me and I cant eliminate with lip position. Maybe in time if I kept at it, but its just so easy on the 3 I will go that way.

Gonna take a while before I can comfortably do a 2 hour stint though.

(Edit). I could always cheat though and use jaw instead of lip if I had to.

I also am thinking something more descriptive. possibly "True Grit" which I quite like.

WOW. Alitssimo up to A is just as full sounding as upper stack.

There hasn't been an alto passaround. I sold out of the ones I had and can't get much stock at the moment.
