I have an affinity with a certain fury little chap that lives there (no it's not Stefan either) other than that, I have no opinion on the matter (But I do like the Oz slang so chuck us a cold one and I'll sling another shrimp on the barby, Cobber)

Be careful where you decide to settle Tommy, my son lives in Sydney and although the pay is very good the cost of housing is very very high. Duncan my son lives in North Bondi and it is full of students and is like most university towns, very loud. You need earplugs when you go out in the evening. Fish and Chips? Oh yes!! Very nice snapper, barramundi, rock trout (?) even octopus and chips.
Dunc is moving out to the central coast about an hour above Sydney and the housing is far more affordable.
Sue my wife and I go once or twice a year and love it... but I wouldn't swap it for Ilkley Moor on a foggy October day.
But I'm barmy. Go for it my son!!!!
