The only cork i've had fall off was from a bottle of wine i dropped. Seriously i love the book but don't think i will be doing major overhauls on my tenor sax i just paid a fortune for, i'll leave that to the experts.
My tatty old alto now that's another question? ;}

So you've never had a cork fall off one evening when there's no expert in sight?

And using the Sax manual to fix your sax at home is practicing for possible problems at a gig.....

(one day I may even get to play in one...)

I notice there are different editions of the Haynes Saxophone Manual. Is there any difference between them?
(i.e. is the 2015 edition simply a reprint of the 2010 edition, or is there extra content?)

It's the same as the 2013 edition, which was the same as the previous editions bar a few typos.
The 2015 edition would simply have been the 5th or 6th print run (can't remember offhand, there have been quite a few), but there was a hiccup with the new printers and almost the entire Haynes range got new ISBN numbers (which effectively amounts to a 'new edition').

I doubt it - there were 3,500 copies of the first edition...and reference books (unlike novels) tend to have value beyond their first reading and are usually kept somewhere safe until they're needed again.

If it ever goes out of print, the value might rise - but even then I doubt it...it's the best-selling non-tuition/notation sax book ever published.
Not that it's a particularly spectacular record, give that it's about as niche a market as it gets.

I still have all my Haynes Reliant manuals. After my Reliant career I borrowed them from the local library. You could identify common problems with any model by checking the dirtiest pages.

Trouble is some of the old goodies go out of print. Some of the Landrover ones I left in SA for instance.

Has there been a rush on this fine organ?

Alternately, where does one send the wonga to obtain a copy from stock?
