Oh, I have a few to choose from; including the one his father played when young, that I did as well. My son was actually quite good when he played, and I recall a show we did at his elementary school where parents of the kids filled out a makeshift stage band. His grandfather joined us on piano and I had the bari part. My son, on tenor, got his first experience of young girls screaming when he soloed. It was really something, the three generations.

Pre-Covid, several years I taught music classes in our Salvation Army Summer Vacation Bible School. It was then I learned that for anyone under 8 years old, a baroche recorder was a whistle.

I didn't want to get too sappy, but I remembered a poem from years ago that was on the wall at a friend of ours home soon after they had their first child. When our first grandchild came along over a decade ago, it came to my mind, and I sent it on to our daughter-in-law. I'm passing it on here. There is a link on the internet to a musical version of it that sounds Irish to me, but the site was not a secure one. You may feel free to look it up, if you prefer. The original poem is entitled Song for a Fifth Child by Ruth Hulburt Hamilton. It appeared in the Ladies Home Journal in the year 1958.
Once again, congratulations! There are not nearly enough babies these days!
