I am currently considering forming my own sax group. So I am looking for several like minded individuals who would be willing to give it a go.
Obviously, as we all need to pay the morgage it would be rehersals at weekends and any gigs would be weekends and evenings only.
For logisitical reasons you need to be within a comfortable distance of Ashby de la Zouch.
Initially and fees would go into a central fund (with regular accounts published) to pay for music and the like but as soon as we make a profit then we will be sharing in the bounty (yes, it may just pay for a chocolate bar - not one each you notice).
I would be looking for a small number (max 6 I guess) of players initially but I am open to things becoming bigger and better as time goes on.
Music style - I am guessing light popular, maybe some light classical (think of the sort of stuff you get at wedding receptions).
Now, the cruncher - I would prefer a minimum of grade 5 std or equivalent - if you don't have the qualification then as long as you can prove it via a sight reading session that would be fine. Don't really need another soprano but any of the rest would be more than welcome.
So, if you fancy having a go, get in touch!
