In some training pages I saw a request that in a particular section be played using the F# trill key. Could I ask, please, for any info on where it is, and why would you want to trill just an F#?
It's very hard to trill from F to F#with the standard keys of the RH stack, as it means alternating your 1st and second fingers. The F# trill key allows you to keep your 1st finger on F and trill with the 3rd finger.
It's the key just to the side of the E key normally.
song that come to mind that you really need this key is "Mr Pityful" by otis redding.. on a Bb instument the middle horn line is almost impossible to play without it..
