Hello people of the cafe.

After about 15 years of playing guitar, always wanting to learn a different instrument and uhming and ahing over which to pick I've decided to learn the saxophone.

Found what seemed to be the only woodwind shop in the city, tried an alto sax and loved even though I could only get 3 or 4 notes before my jaw started hurting. I'm progressing a lot better than I thought I would but obviously still have a long way to go.

My first goal - to play all of 21st Century Schizoid Man.

What ho Dolphesque, I think we guitarists are in the majority now.
One in our midst is making a superb classical guitar in his spare time from sax playing(Chris98). How cool is that?

Welcome to the world of saxophone madness from a very snowy Ilkley.

Andy

Fantastic ex guitarist................I say ex..... because you`ll get hooked on sax.

however as a guitarist..., can you give me some tips on how to play into my local church band that are mostly guitarists.
They all read some crazy music format called the tab system.
Regards
