Yet again, I've recorded an alto version of John Zorn's 'Paran' (must be my 3rd or 4th - I just can't get enough of it) not that I do it justice!

That sounds great Vaughan, well done.

I had a quick listen to the other takes to refresh my memory, and the core sound with this new take seems better, with much improved intonation. I'd love a touch more reverb though, the other takes had it and I think it would really add a touch of mystery 🙂

@TimboSax - thanks a lot for the feedback Tim, especially the comparison of various other versions I've done.
I think in previous versions my execution of the written melody was better timing wise (in particular the live performance - nerves are good!) and you're right the reverb in

really suits the piece. I recorded the latest version in a bigger naturally reverberant room so I only added the barest smidge of delay.
It was an off-the-cuff exercise in tone and improv for me initially. Eventually I'll record a 5th version with Chris Knowles custom backing done right. 🙂
