Mouthpiece/Lig FS D'Addario Jazz Select Tenor 7 (marbled) w/Rovner Platinum style ligature

I bought this as an experiment a couple of months ago, but- alas - it's slightly wider than I'm comfortable with these days ( feels like it's about 110). It's a cracking piece and also looked great on my unlacquered tenor.
These pieces were cloned from Jeff Coffin's Freddie Gregory mouthpiece and are a really good balance of responsiveness and power.
Comes with a Rovner platinum copy and plastic cap.

I was given a mable limited 7* a few years ago to test and liked it but passed on it. 😟

I regret it now it would have been nice to have in my arsenal it was a great playing piece. Did not have the edge or depth of a MK IV not sure what model it is based on. But then my main rubber piece is a Freddie Gregory hard rubber 7* MK IV. I have been playing it as a main rubber piece for over 25 years. Bought it 2nd hand when I was a teen.

Another piece that plays comparable / closer to the MK IV is the Navarro Mintzer Bop Boy. These pop up on Ebay and private sales at times. First production with the gold metal shank are saught after so are comanding a high price now, I have one in my hoard. I have followed Mintzer and Brecker since a teen. I got my Series III at about the same time and adjudicators would always ask after judging what mouthpiece and horn I was playing on. LOL
