His 1000th slipped past me a couple of weeks ago, but now Bob is officially the most prolific postrt on the Breakfast Room, he finally overtook yours truly.

That's a speeech and a pint you owe us all I think

Everything is at the bar.

Not only have I tapped out at least 900 of my posts on a pda, it's a pda with an out-of-calibration screen, so I have to go back and correct it all where my stylus has 'missed' the right spot on the keyboard.

Add to that that I am very often walking the dog at the time and you'll apppreciate how dedicated I am.

Eceryt ing is ar the bar.

Nkt only have I tapoed out at least 900 of my posts on a pdz, it;s a odz wuth an out-of caxligratiob screen sonInhave To go backband correct it zll wgere my stykus gas 'mussed' the right spot on the jeybiars.

Add to tgat thar I am veryboften waljing thebdog at tge tine and yiu;lo appreciate how deicared I am.

... is how it would look if uncorrected.

Thank you, and I love you all.

The buffet is now open.

Cheers, Bob

Any bets on who will be next to mount the podium (oo-er missus) of grande-postdom?

We have several correspondents in the 2-300 or so range - Spike and Rogerb spring to mind for example, but my money's on the young upstart whippersnapper johnny-come-lately newcomer, Mr. "Linky" Lee Hayden.

The boy's Been around for less than a week and has already notched up a phenomenonal 76 posts, an average of nearly 12 a day!

I think it's more a matter of when, rather than if he becomes the next 1000-poster.

Any takers at 7-2?

Cheers, Bob

I doubt if I'll make it , Bob... I am so ignorant about saxy matters.

Besides, I moderate 2 forums on field-hockey(about which I know a lot more!), and on each of which I have exceeded 2k posts, so that keeps me busy 😀

BTW, congratulations on whatever it is you are being congratulated for 🙂

well to make a point. Congratulations! 😛

My posting is likely to decrease though, It's only because I had a load of questions that I went online to look for a forum or something to get the answers as I'm impatient like that and couldn't wait a week to ask my teacher who'd only give me 1 opinion.

It's all good though. I've certainly gotten highly motivated over the last week just feeding of everyone's enthusiasm and kind words from on here.

What a nickname, I don't think people like 'Bird' and 'Dizzie' would approve... I can't even recall where the 'Linky' came from? I think someone just said it randomly once and it stuck.

well perhaps. Me thinks the 15pints may also be a factor. Congrats on your abundence of postage. Oli

PS mines a cider please

Ah I never thought about that!

Funnily enough I am! I think that'll have to be the new reason why I've got that name.

Bob is the creator. And it only took him 7 days...

... This sounds awfully familiar.

There is a '60s/70s One Hit Wonder' pop-star(I use the term loosely) who now, I think, lives out here in Spain, called Leapy Lea(Lee?), so I wonder if it was a corruption of that?

That one hit being "Little Arrows", which I am ashamed to remember. I am even more ashamed to remember how it goes too
