Beginner Saxes Comparing two Amati saxophones

This thread went a bit too far from the original topic. Maybe a moderator intervention is needed.
To get back on the topic - I've searched my current wonderful sax - Yamaha 275 for 6 months here and on SOTW. It just takes time. There were some offers that I missed meanwhile, but it was worth it. I've also monitored the local Bulgarian sites, but nothing interesting during that time. Saxophones here are sold mostly offline through technicians/music stores. There are many Chinese horns on sale right now, all in the range 200-300 EUR. And some Jupiters, and a Chinese SML 420 for 400-500 EUR.

But let me show you something, that makes me crazy. There are many folk orchestras here, and it seems that the piezo microphones are highly popular amongst these players. While for clarinets it is easy to mount it on the barrel, many people are mounting these on saxophone's neck as well. And it looks like this ((Warning: explicit content):

This is a screwed Buffet Crampon 8101 sax, otherwise in a very good condition. I can't understand why people do that. There was an almost new beautiful Bauhaus Walstein Alto for sale, with the same intervention.

I wouldn't say the Amati and Weltklang were 'powerful' saxes - I think they come across that way because you have to blow them hard to get the best (such as it is) out of them.
Something like the Yamaha YBS62 is a powerful horn - even at quite low volumes it adds a certain percussiveness to the notes, and at top volume it still requires surprisingly little effort.
