Thanks to @PigSquealer, being a helpful and all around awesome member here, I was able to complete my C-Melody earlier this week!

He gave alot of fantastic advice and thing I simply would not have thought of.

I really like this C Melody! It is not even remotely stuffy, and plays effortlessly.

It is a 1923 Lyon&Healy "Professional Chicago" model (Buescher stencil), with no MoP key touches. I ordered a MPC Planet C-Melody mouthpiece to go with it and am using tenor Java Green 2.5 reeds on it at the moment. I chose MM Soft Feel pads with a single rivet and per their suggestion sent SF Thick since the original pads were marshmallows. They work very well on it and feel great.

Overall this was my first real experience fixing a sax. I previously took apart and cleaned my 1925 Martin HC alto and replaced a couple of pads, but did not take my time as I did on this. It was a great learning experience. It plays lovely from low Bb to top F. I plan to play alot with my wife who plays violin. They go well together.

Getting started off right from the beginning is very important. Helping people midway after mistakes have happened is challenging. Ya done well !
