I just don't know if I'd get used to it in time..I've had easier blowing saxes and they don' seem to have any sole..trade off I guess..can you get used to some resistance I can't lighten my set up any more my vintage metal mouthpiece and either vandoren green or rico orange no 2 reed.

You do get some horns that have more resistance than others even horns of the same make and model, i can remember trying some Selmer VI's that were hard work to blow compared to others that weren't.
You also need to know when the horn was last serviced or overhauled because this could also play a part on how the sax plays.
If it is that there are no leaks and it has been serviced then you will get used to the extra resistance with time and effort, only you can answer whether that's worth it in the end.
