Hi from the Haute Vienne in France.Have tinkerred with saxes/clarinets for yonks.Now have a lot more time on my hands to indulge myself seriously.Can read music (treble clef) due to childhood violin lessons, but totally self taught on woodwind. Am not a natural instinctive musician, but would like to develop some degree of fluency in improvising. Is it taught or is it caught? Play mostly my yamaha alto 875 at the moment. Also have a Bauhaus tenor and antigua winds sop.

Ta Dave. No I am Scots. I have retired out here. Maybe if you heard me speak you wouldn't think my English was so good . Despite over 30 years in England, I still have a thick Glaswegian accent.

Having grown up along the Dover Straits, I consider myself almost French anyway....well France was only 30 miles away.
