Theory & Impro Best book for bebop

Perhaps I will express a seditious and crazy thought, but Parker's bebop reminds me of Bach's partitas and sonatas in beauty and harmony.
Far from being seditious and crazy, bebop comes pretty much directly from Bach. Bird, Diz, and Bud Powell studied Bach like crazy, if the legends are to be believed. Bebop can, in many ways, be described as Bach plus swing and the blues.

So my intuition didn't let me down.

I think it’s fairly certain that along with studying Klose, during Bird’s woodshedding after the famous cymbal incident, he spent his time studying and playing Bach’s preludes extensively. Especially with regard to the phrasing.
