Hi all I'm new here !
I've been playing Sax for 2 months and recently bought a B&S Sonora Tenor sax. I was playing an Alto.

My question is I can't seem to find much about this German made sax. It's not got a blue label. It does have a serial number though. Is there anywhere that you check serial numbers for these all help would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone see photo. Mine has no engraving, only the serial number which is a 5 digit number 67442 and made in GDR. The other is my Alto ignore that.

I have a Sonora, about 40 years old. "Built to last" would describe the construction.
It plays easily, and sounds nice.
Afraid I don't get around to playing it much, though.

I sold my Sonora 2 years ago and I’m buying it back again I’m thrilled.
Hi, did you manage to get much info on the Senora? I found a B & S sonora Alto for sale £180 serial number 71754. I am new tot he saxophone so know little about it, cosmetically it looks in good condition but then again I would have little idea if it wasn't. Do you know whst sort of price they sell at and whether that is a fair price to pay?
