Hi,

I've been lurking on this forum for quite some time now but I find the atmosphere here most appealing, so it's time to come out of the shadows.

I've played the alto for 11 years or so and I've prematurely 'treated' myself to celebrate the completion of my thesis by buying a BW tenor. I haven't got round to practising a whole lot the past four years, but that's about to change. And there's plans for striking up a band again, which would provide a much-needed goal to work towards.

Lots of plans, lots of things to be learnt and re-learnt!

See you around!

Hi Lambik, welcome to the cafe, I'm glad you have found the courage to come out of lurkiness (is that a word?) and join us. Enjoy your new BW, but don't neglact your alto. ;}

My mum ( being Viennese ) used to make Apfelstrudel on the dining room table. She'd extend the leaves and throw this huge sheet of pastry over it. It took her ages to make the thing, and about 10 minutes for us all to scoff the lot.
Wonderful smell when cooking - and a lot better than the smell of the Sauerkraut she used to make.

Regards,
