I just wondered whether anyone on the forum has/has played one of the Bari mouthpieces (Alto or Tenor) and what your experience has been like - I have a particular curiosity about the Richie Cole ebonite Alto mpc, and the WT11 metal Tenor mpc. Any responses welcome!

Kind regards
Tom

Well I decided to try out a Bari Richie Cole Alto mpc 7 facing and it is great, comparing well to my Super Session and providing a solid back up piece. It seems just a little livelier buth with a similar richness of sound.

I also purchased Bari* synthetic reeds for both Alto and Tenor and am very impressed. They do not have quite the richness of the Alexander Superial DC's I am currently playing but sound very lively and deep nevertheless. I will be happy to play them.

Kind regards
Tom

Glad you like the piece. I have been meaning to try the Richie Cole piece, but can't seem to ever find one in stock anywhere, and have put off ordering one untested.

I do like the Bari brand mouthpieces I have tried and purchased though. I shudder to think what you paid for it in the UK, having read the prices paid for such US made pieces recently.

Cheers.

Similar threads... or are they? Maybe not but they could be worth reading anyway 😀
